The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has published the updated Class 12 Arts/Humanities stream syllabus for the academic year 2025–2026. This syllabus is designed according to the latest National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It helps students focus on key concepts, develop understanding of social sciences, and prepare for board exams as well as entrance tests.
The syllabus includes a wide range of subjects from history, political science, and geography to optional subjects like philosophy, environmental science, and computer science. It is aligned with NCERT standards to support national-level preparation for competitive exams like CUET, BA entrance, and other undergraduate courses.
Syllabus Valid for Both Zones
The updated syllabus is the same for both Summer Zone and Winter Zone students. JKBOSE has made this common for all students across Jammu and Kashmir. Only the examination calendar differs by zone; the topics and subjects remain the same.
